With the coolest climate on the Australian mainland, our Chardonnay style is perfect for lovers of Chardonnay with finesse and minerality. Refined and ‘steely’ with distinct European styling. This wine is made from fruit which is carefully hand–‐picked from our block within Alastair Taylors’ award winning vineyard in Heywood, Henty.
The 2013 Chardonnay has been carefully tended by Justin with minimal intervention with a portion of wine matured in older French oak casks.
Colour: Pale straw with green hints.
Bouquet: A slight flinty reduction blows off to reveal grilled grapefruit and marzipan aromas
Palate:Slippery citrus, stonefruit and almond flavours are held by the lingering acidity and creamy finish
Cellaring: With good cellaring conditions this wine will cellar and improve for up to 15 years.
