Belinda’s love for experiencing different cultures was cemented in her during childhood through family trips abroad. An early memory she still holds dear involved dining in the home of a local Filipino family when her host let out an almighty burp, which she later learned is a sign of appreciation. Much to her parents’ embarrassment, fits of suppressed giggles ensued between Belinda and her siblings; their host, on the other hand, saw the opportunity to entertain the family and kept those burps coming!
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Sydney, Belinda backpacked around the U.K. and Europe, ending up in Italy where she spent six months immersing herself in the language and culture. Upon returning home to Australia, the natural progression of her career led her to plan travel for others. Beginning her travel career at Flight Centre and moving to Travel Associates shortly after, Belinda has since managed three successful businesses, organised conference groups at the Bellagio Las Vegas and Shangri-La Shanghai, and planned dream holidays for many of her clients. She now lives on the Central Coast of Australia, just north of Sydney, with her husband, three boys, dogs, rabbits, ducks, and chickens.
